Frequently asked questions
Does the player need a permanent internet connection?
No. Each screen downloads its assigned playlist and stores it locally, so playback continues if the connection drops. When the screen reconnects, it checks for changes and applies an update only after the new content has finished downloading and been verified. An interrupted sync does not replace the playlist that is already working.
What Android hardware is supported?
Veysign supports Android 9 and newer on Android TV devices, common Android boxes, tablets, and compatible commercial displays. Hardware quality varies, so we maintain a tested-device approach instead of claiming that every Android device will behave the same. That gives teams a practical basis for choosing reliable screens and players.
How is this different from a browser running in kiosk mode?
The Veysign player is a native Android app rather than a browser tab. It is designed to recover predictably after restarts, handle memory pressure, and keep media available on the device. A kiosk browser can depend on a live page and connection; Veysign keeps the approved playlist local so a temporary network problem does not leave a blank screen.
How quickly can I activate a new screen?
After installing the Android player, the screen displays a 6-digit activation code. Enter that code in the Veysign dashboard to link the device to your account, then assign a playlist or location.
