Choose hardware and content with readability in mind
A digital menu board succeeds when customers can read it at the real viewing distance. Use adequate type size, strong contrast, restrained motion, and the correct aspect ratio. Test one screen before rolling the same design across a fleet; a graphic that looks clear on a laptop may be crowded above a counter.
Veysign does not lock the business into proprietary display hardware. The player targets Android 9 and newer, which makes it suitable for many TVs, boxes, tablets, and commercial Android displays. Hardware quality still matters: use a device intended for the hours, temperature, orientation, and remote-control requirements of the location.
Keep a small recovery playlist available. If a campaign expires or an asset needs correction, the team can return to an approved evergreen menu while preparing the replacement. That is safer than editing the only live file under service pressure.
Digital menu board software questions
Can I use my existing Android TV as a digital menu board?
If the device runs a supported Android version and can install the Veysign player, it can be paired to the dashboard. Test orientation, storage, playback performance, and remote recovery before relying on consumer hardware in a permanent installation.
Can menu boards show both images and videos?
Yes. Upload supported media, arrange the items in a playlist, and set image durations. Test video encoding and display performance on the target hardware before a wide rollout.
Can different menu boards show different content?
Yes. Assign content to an individual screen, a group such as front counter displays, or a whole location. More specific assignments can support different layouts or local menus.
Does a menu board stop when Wi-Fi goes down?
No. Content that has already downloaded continues playing from local storage. The connection is needed for new updates and status reporting, not for every playback loop.
