Digital Signage for Restaurants

Veysign helps restaurants replace manual USB updates with centrally managed Android screens. Schedule menu content around service periods, publish a promotion to selected branches, and keep the last approved playlist running when a location loses its connection.

  • Change dayparts without visiting the screen
  • Keep approved pricing and promotions aligned across branches
  • Continue showing downloaded content during internet outages

Why teams change the workflow

Keep menu boards useful throughout the service day

Menus change by daypart

Breakfast should not remain on screen during dinner service. Assign playlists to time windows so the player changes content according to the restaurant’s local timezone instead of relying on a staff member to swap files.

Branches need both consistency and local control

A central team can publish approved brand campaigns while location-specific playlists handle local pricing, availability, or events. Locations and device groups make the intended audience explicit.

A short outage should not blank a menu

The Android player stores its assigned media locally. It keeps playing the last complete playlist while offline and only switches after a new update has downloaded successfully.

Implementation

From a new screen to a scheduled restaurant playlist

  1. 1

    Install and pair

Install the Veysign player on a compatible Android TV, box, tablet, or commercial display, then enter its six-digit activation code in the dashboard.

  2. 2

    Upload finished menu assets

Upload the images or videos your team has approved. Veysign manages delivery and playback; your designers can continue using the creative tools already in the restaurant workflow.

  3. 3

    Build playlists by service period

Create breakfast, lunch, dinner, promotional, or event playlists, then choose duration and ordering for every item.

  4. 4

    Schedule and monitor

Target one screen, a device group, or a restaurant location. Check the dashboard for the screen’s latest status and assignment after publishing.

Product fit

Restaurant signage capabilities that solve operational work

Daypart scheduling

Use start and end times, weekdays, dates, priorities, and timezones to move between recurring menus and temporary campaigns.

Multi-location publishing

Group screens by branch or purpose so a campaign can reach all front counters without replacing a separate drive at every restaurant.

Offline-first playback

Downloaded images and videos remain on the player. An interrupted update never replaces the complete playlist that is already working.

Role-based access

Give owners, administrators, managers, editors, or viewers the appropriate level of dashboard access instead of sharing one account across every branch.

Plan the signage around how the restaurant actually operates

Start with a simple content map: which screens exist, which menu or promotion belongs on each screen, and when it should appear. A single-location café may need only a counter menu and one promotional display. A chain may separate front-counter screens, drive-through displays, waiting areas, and branch-specific campaigns into different device groups.

Treat availability changes as an operational process, not only a design task. Keep an approved fallback asset ready for sold-out products, temporary closures, or event notices. Staff can publish that asset to the affected screens without rebuilding the normal menu schedule, then remove the override when service returns to normal.

For reliability, use Android hardware that can stay powered during opening hours and test the full playlist before launch. Veysign handles cached playback and update delivery, but the display, power, local network, and media dimensions still deserve a short on-site test.

Restaurant digital signage questions

Can Veysign switch breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu boards automatically?

Yes. Create a playlist for each service period and schedule it using the restaurant’s timezone. The screen resolves the active schedule without requiring a staff member to change a USB drive.

What happens to a restaurant menu board when the internet fails?

The player continues showing the complete playlist already stored on the device. It checks for changes after connectivity returns and applies a new version only when its files are ready.

Can head office update several restaurant locations at once?

Yes. Organize screens by location or group, then assign a playlist or schedule to the intended set. Branch-specific assignments can still override a wider campaign when necessary.

Does Veysign design the menu graphics?

Veysign is the screen-management and playback system. Create finished menu images or videos in your preferred design tool, upload them, arrange them in a playlist, and schedule where they should play.
